Initial Situation
With the expansion of the Kunsthaus Zürich, an architectural masterpiece was created – and at the same time, a challenging radio technical situation. Exposed concrete, large glass facades, and deeply situated lower floors severely dampen radio signals, making reliable coverage without additional infrastructure impossible. For the operation of a publicly accessible building of this size, the responsible authority required comprehensive coverage for emergency services through the Polycom network – particularly in the shielded lower floors and storage areas.

Solution by Motcom
Motcom developed a discreet, fully integrated radio infrastructure for Polycom operation. Through an authority-approved head station with uninterruptible power supply, the signal is fed and distributed across all levels via a hybrid distribution network. The antennas were positioned and designed to meet the aesthetic requirements of the architecture while ensuring maximum range and safety.
